For almost 40 years, the Oxford Symposium on Food and Cookery has hosted scholars, chefs, farmers, writers and activists to discuss a wide variety of topics related to food. This year's topic is "Food and Power."

Our editor, Dr. Alex Ketchum, will be presenting a paper about feminist restaurants on Saturday July 13th at 4:30 PM.

The panel will be chaired by Dr. Laura Shapiro, author of numerous titles, including Perfection Salad and Something from the Oven. Shapiro's work has been very influential on Ketchum's.

The other panelists are writer and cultural historian, L. Sasha Gora and antiquarian bookseller Don Lindgren.

We look forward to speaking with you all and are excited for the fruitful discussions ahead. Come say hi!
